Care and Warmth for the Elderly

On 8th January 2021, Sahajiya carried out its ninth community service initiative in Kashinagar, Mayrachok village, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, focusing on supporting elderly individuals during the winter season.

A total of 83 elderly beneficiaries were provided with essential items including blankets, soap, and body oil. For many senior citizens in underserved areas, winter can be especially harsh, making such basic necessities vital for their comfort and well-being.

The initiative was driven by a simple yet powerful intention—to ensure that no elderly person feels neglected or unprotected during difficult times. Along with distributing essentials, the team also shared moments of care and human connection, bringing warmth beyond just physical comfort.

Community Service IX reflects Sahajiya’s ongoing commitment to stand beside vulnerable groups, especially the elderly, who often require both support and compassion.
